Your public profile

Every Koo account is also a public channel. Your profile lives at koo.io/@handle and shows your published apps, your bio and links, and your follower count — it's where people land when they discover something you shipped.

From the console, Profile in the header — next to your avatar — opens the profile of the account you're currently acting as; koo.io beside it opens the public apps feed.

Your handle

Your handle is global and unique across all of Koo. You claim it at signup for your personal account, and each team account claims its own.

Handles are lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens, up to 39 characters. Reserved words are blocked.

Your handle is fixed once claimed — renaming isn't available yet — so choose it with care.

Profile fields

Your profile carries:

• Display name — shown alongside your handle.
• Avatar and banner — images for your profile page.
• Bio — a short description of you or your team.
• Links — your website, repos, and social profiles.
• Location — optional, free-form.

Edit these in the console. On a team account, changing the profile requires the owner or admin role — see Teams and roles.

Followers & following

You can follow any account to keep up with what they ship. Your own follower count appears on your profile, alongside your published-app count.

Follows — like comments and upvotes — are attributed to the account you're currently acting as, not to you personally. For how social activity surfaces across Koo, see Discovery and community.

Personal and team accounts

Your personal account is created at signup. You can also create additional accounts or join other people's — each account has its own handle, profile, apps, and followers.

In the console you act as one account at a time and can switch between them. Everything you do publicly — publishing apps, commenting, upvoting, following — is done as the acting account.

Your first account is your primary account and carries the free allowance. An additional account starts payment-gated: it holds its handle and your membership but no hosting, and it can't create anything until a subscription starts — see Multiple accounts.

What's public

Public, visible to anyone without signing in:

• Your profile fields (display name, avatar, banner, bio, links, location).
• Your published apps — each one a page you explicitly created by publishing a service.
• Your social activity: comments, upvotes, and who you follow, plus your follower and app counts.

Nothing else is public, and there is no visibility setting to manage — what's public is exactly what you chose to publish. Your projects, environments, services, logs, and metrics stay private to the account's members, as do team internals (the member list, roles, invitations, billing) and your email address.
